Spindletop Hall, Lexington |
 |
Fred Thompson (Law &
Order ... "dun dun") |
 |
Diane Lane ("Under
the Tuscan Sun," etc., etc.) |
 |
John Malcovich
showed up on 10/2. Didn't get to do a scene
with him, but did get to see him enter the building.
:-) |
 |
The extras arrive
and sign in .... Why, I believe that's
Georgetown's Dr. Gus Bynum having a little fun on
his day off. |
 |
Making the trek
through the wet Spindletop grass to wardrobe.
It had been pouring .... |
 |
Ah, the wardrobe
trucks |
 |
|

Hair and make-up
trailer |
 |
Killing time after
wardrobe. Eventually, the pipe, hat, hair and
goatee had to go. LOL |
 |
We spent 12 hours
hanging out, mostly, before shooting for two more
hours, making for a 14-hour day |
 |
Hanging out in the
Spindletop basement. Met some incredible
folks, as always! |
 |
OMG, Sonny and Russ
on set AGAIN! How many movies does this make
for us now?? LOL |
 |
Ah, two fine Irish
gentlemen, Shane Haffey and Robert Pettit |
 |
Teriyaki chicken on
the grill! The catering company is based in
Boston. |
 |
Lunch was superb! |
 |
Our wonderfully
crazy Extras coordinator, Becka |
 |
Ah, moi sans goatee
and much hair! |
 |
|
 |
Final event on day
two was to form a gauntlet. Five were selected
for "possible" inclusion in the final scene.
Didn't make that cut ... oh well. |

Slugger Field, and Convention
Center, Louisville |
 |
Slugger Field.
Those of us chosen for the special green-screen
shots were either in the stands or on the field with
huge green screens placed behind us or in front of
us. Our scenes will be added to the movie
digitally. |
 |
Distant shot of the
camera on a crane |
 |
Lunchtime at Slugger
Field. The food was fantastic, as always! |
 |
SB in 1973 garb,
including a transistor radio |
 |
Yeow! The
afternoon wardrobe change put me and actor-buddy
Keith Nicholson in the same coat! ... Car
salesman jokes were flyin'! Eventually, I
ditched the coat and changed to a different hat. |
 |
... Relaxing in the
dugout between takes |
 |
Next day.
Breakfast at the Marriott Blu at 5:15 a.m. |
 |
... Waiting for hair
and make-up |
 |
My turn. ... I
think I heard my guy mumble "hopeless," or something
like that. |
 |
It took three hours
to get all 50 of us attired and through hair and
make-up. Looks like we lost one. Well,
with these 5:15 a.m. call times! LOL |
 |
... Hangin' out,
waiting to be digitally inserted into the movie,
either individually, or as a group. |
 |
Hmm, I seem to be
having an allergic reaction to the polyester coat. |
